You should use this template if you want to transfer your limited leave immigration status details from a passport to a Biometric Residence Permit. For example, if you have lost the passport that contained your visa. Remember you will need to provide evidence to support the change of details, such as a marriage certificate, change of name deed poll or original birth certificate showing your correct details.
You should only use this template if you or any of your dependants have limited leave to remain in the UK and you wish to transfer the details contained in your passport to a new Biometric Residence Permit. For example you may have had your passport:

Most people now know that obtaining a UK spouse or civil partner visa is not a straight forward process. The application involves knowing and applying complicated UK Immigration Rules. These rules involve an assessment of your relationship, fiances, cohabitation plans and your intention to reside with your settled spouse or partner permanently.
Your spouse or civil partner will need to meet certain requirements for your application to be successful. In particular they will need to meet the financial requirement unless they are exempt. They will need to be earning an income of at least £18,600 and an additional £3,800 for the first child and then an additional £2,400 for each additional child in order to meet the Immigration Rules. However your spouse or civil partner may be able to rely on third party support if they can prove they have a credible guarantee of sustainable financial support from a family member or friend. If your spouse or civil partner is not currently employed you may still be able to meet the rules if either you or your partner have a confirmed job offer and can prove that there will be credible prospective earnings from the sustainable employment or self employment. Alternatively your spouse or civil partner can rely on cash savings or investments if they have a sustainable amount.

Once you complete your application you can then upload it to your my account area for later use or to use as part of the application checking service process.
All the recommend editable fields are underlined and in a red front colour. Simply replace the template content with your own specific information. We do not recommend editing text that does not require editing as you could be changing important legal content. We recommend that you should only change the underlined and red text. However, if you feel that other changes are required and you are confident that the required changes will not have a negative impact on the overall strength of your application, then make those changes. In such circumstances we would recommend getting your completed application checked by one of our lawyers before you submit it.
Our document checklist is designed to help you identify the majority of the documents needed for your proposed application. However, there may be times when for whatever reason you cannot provide everything on the checklist. In those circumstances you should provide what you can and explain in your application cover letter why you cannot provide the other documents. Please note that some documents are required for the application to be deemed valid. Failure to provide those documents will invalidate your application.
Our document checklists are not an exhaustive list. You may find that you have other documents that you feel would help your application. If that is the case then add the further document(s) but only after you have carefully considered the impact those documents could have on your proposed application. You should not submit any document(s) that contradict any aspect of your current or previous applications.
An application index is a list of all pages included within your proposed application. It also contains helpful details as to where a particular document can be found. It can be very useful when you have a large number of documents to submit with your application.
We endeavour to keep all our templates and document checklist up to date. In particular, we will always aim to immediately update them in circumstances where the law has has change and the template and or document check list would require updating.
Your membership entitles you to have access to all our member content specific to the type of plan you currently hold. You are not limited to only one plan. If you feel there are other benefits within one of our other plans you are interested in, then you are also free to become a plan member of that other plan.
You are free to hold as many membership plans as you wish. Being a member of more than one plan means you will have access to all the benefits in each chosen plan but only for one specific application type within that plan group. If you want access to more than one application type within the same plan group, then you will need to register for multiple membership plans within the same membership group.
You are in total control of your membership. If you wish to cancel, pause, upgrade and even downgrade your membership you do so. However, if you initially signed up for example for a three month membership that you have already paid for, you will not receive a refund if you cancel your membership before your three months has expired. To make changes to your membership simply follow the following instructions:
1. Log into your account and you will be redirect to your user account page;
2. Select subscriptions from the menu;
3. Select “Account settings” in the top right-hand corner under your name;
4. In your settings, you can click “cancel” to end your subscription.
